About Xiaoxiao Dan, M.A., RCC
Hi, I’m Xiaoxiao. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, cultural identity shifts, immigration stress, and relationship challenges. My practice is grounded in Adlerian therapy—connection, encouragement, and the belief that people are capable of meaningful growth.
My style is gentle, collaborative, and paced to you. We’ll slow down together so you can feel safe to explore your inner world, honor your lived experiences, and reconnect with what matters most. I’m here to help you make sense of patterns and move toward an authentic, empowered life.
I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (Adler University) and bring a cross-cultural background that informs a culturally responsive lens. We can meet in English or Mandarin—whatever helps you feel most at ease.

Yes. We meet online anywhere in BC, or in-person in Surrey. Choose what feels best for you.
What languages do you work in?
I offer counselling in English and Mandarin. You can switch languages at any time.
Do you have sliding scale spots?
Yes. Sliding scale sessions ($60–$90) are available in limited numbers. Please ask during your consultation.
What can I expect in the first session?
We will talk about what brings you here, what you hope for, and set a comfortable pace together—no pressure to share more than you want to.
